How to make vpn exclude 1 internet, in a load balancer

Mon Mar 04, 2019 5:19 pm

hello, I have a mikrotik load balancer, that I use to connect to 2 internets (ether1, and ether2), ether 1 is used for gaming (good ping and connection stability) ether 2 is used for streaming (high upload speed). I want to connect to a vpn, but ether2 cannot be connected to a vpn (the provider disconnects the internet when connected to a vpn so instant timeout).
how can I make it so that my vpn when connected bypasses ether2 completely and only connect to ether1.

This has been a headache for me, so all the help would be appreciated. Thank you very much in advance. waiting for your replies.

I am not sure but I think you should know what kind of traffic you want to send through ether 1(vpn) and ether 2 and then mark you traffic and route them accordingly

That already makes sense.
Additional question: is the VPN originated from your router?
If so, set a static route to the vpn peer via default g/w of ether1's ISP.
