EoIP over Internet

Fri Jun 28, 2019 6:44 pm

Hello everone,

I'm asking for help because i tried EoIP tunnel over my personnal LAN and it worked perfectly, but, I don't know why it doesn't work over public internet, this is the config i tried to do :

Computer (10.200.153.10) > Mikrotik HAP AC (10.200.0.1) > 4G router (with DMZ for the Mikrotik) > Public Internet < 4G router (with DMZ for the Mikrotik) < Mikrotik HAP AC (10.200.0.2) < Computer (10.200.153.20)

What I want to do :
- The ability to transfer data through the EoIP tunnel, establishing a connection, ping each machine on the same network

Actually i tried and i can't even establish a connexion

Hope someone can help,
Regards

Do you have global unicast IPs on the 4G interfaces or are they carrier grade NAT addresses? You'll need a public IP on at least 1 side of the equation and even then you'll have to use something capable of traversing NAT first.

Quite a few (if not all) MNOs firewall subscribers against incoming connections even if subscribers are using proper (read: globally routable) IP addresses ... You might need a "fixed anchor" to establish wanted tunnel ... with a hop on the "anchor".
