Secondary Channel

Sat Aug 31, 2019 5:46 pm

Forgive my ignorance on this, but I assume the secondary channel option relates to the ability to have 2 channels running for 160MHz, or am I misunderstanding?
The hAP ac2 doesn't support this seemingly - do any of the other similar models support this?

AFAIK only RB4011 (wireless version) supports (non-contigous) 80+80 MHz ... it's been explained that for contigous 160MHz channel one doesn't need to set secondary channel.

Capsman is different beast and secondary-channel setting is used differently.

could you elaborate more details on how this setting is used differently by CAPsMAN?

In CAPsMAN, /capsman channel section, the property name is extension-channel, which takes the second part of channel-width parameter, namely channel layout (e.g. Ceee).

Sonce you resurrected an old thread, it could be that CAPsMAN settings were different in previous versions. In 6.48.3 it seems usage of property secondary-frequency is in line with how it's used under /interface wireless.
