Wed Jan 15, 2020 4:11 pm

how to limit internet download manager (Idm) ? my isp has 4Mbps upload and 20Mbps download,
qos works for lan cable , but not so good for wireless.
when I playing a game, and my sister download a file using idm the latency (ping) of my game increase. i use wireless only, my mikrotik type is hap ac lite, iam using pcq and separate browsing and game connection. the question is how to make my latency game still good while my sister download file using idm, both of us using wireless

thank you - hendra

The reason you did not get much response is you did not make your researches and did not ask specific questions.
"It does not work please tell me what to do without making me educating myself at least a bit" is not what encourage people to help.

WiFi for gaming is a bad idea in general and should only be used if there is really no other way. The air is a shared medium by nature, whereas a cable connection is dedicated.
If you still want to use WiFi you want to inform yourself on multi SSID setups, channel distribution and especially WMM. Checkout what is usually done for VOIP over WiFi. You need something similar for your game traffic.
If you are not ready to do so, MT is the wrong device for you.

In that case, go for one of the commercial "Gaming WiFi Routers", Yes, they are more expensive, but I think you just discovered the reason for that: They do not need you to know your stuff.
