FCC unlicensed frequency range 5.925–7.125 GHz

FCC unlicensed frequency range 5.925–7.125 GHz

Recently, the FCC opened a new unlicensed frequency range 5.925–7.125 GHz

Soooo, when will Mikrotik have a/n/ac 2x2 products which will operate in this new frequency range ?

I have an immediate need to begin installing several dozen APs and hundreds client devices operating in this band.

Since they recently licensed the entire WiFi spectrum for the US versions of their AC products, I guess they will for their WISP products since current consumer clients won't connect on those frequencies.

Hmmm …
There are some overlapping frequencies between 5 GHz Mikrotik devices using Super-Channel ( 4800 -through 6080 )
Sooo…
-- I believe a 5 GHz Mikrotik using SuperChannel with a/n 2x2 should be able to connect to 6 GHz Mikrotik 912UAG-6HPnD ( a/n 2x2 ) using frequencies available to both devices ( 5.925 -through 6.080 GHz ) and achieve a 300Mbps-40MHz/2S/SGI link.
-- or two 5 GHz Mikrotiks using SuperChannel with a/n/ac 2x2 should be able to connect with a 80-MHz/2S.SGI link configured in the frequency range 5.925 -through 6.080 GHz .
--- Note: Using 5 GHz antennas in the 6 GHz range will result in a slight antenna miss-match resulting in some db signal loss - however --> RF-Elements has several 5 GHz antennas that do also operate in this frequency range.

Haven't tested it , but it should work.

That was exactly my idea. Shouldn´t curent access points (cAP ac, hAP ac²) be able to to utlize at least some of the 6 GHz channels with their current 5 GHz antenna, aswell? So, using (at least some not all) 6 GHz channels right away after running a software update should be possible? @Normis, perhaps MikroTik can enable those frequencies and we can test ourselves how far it works well or not.
