Troubleshooting PPPoE client connection

I've bought the RB951Ui-2nD device to replace my aging DIR-300NRU.B5.
But it seems I can not connect to the ISP (Starlink/MSK, using PPPoE).
When I run test, it sees the concentrator, but connection won't start. Status shows "waiting for packets" or looping through "init", depends on settings.
The ISP support said they can't help with this make/model, unfortunately.
Anything can be done about it? Any tricks or diagnostics to check?
