Dude Server update OS

Tue Nov 24, 2020 5:05 pm

Hello everyone, I have a dude server and under devices in dude client i can right click and update routerOs
After the update when i login into router it shows the latest OS, all well.
Under devices in routerOS tab i can't see the new OS for the host because it cannot connect in RouterOs status. The routerOs option is ticked in host's General tab.
I have about 30 mikrotiks and some 4-5 of them show the same behavior. The other are connected ok. Any ideas?

The version is 6.45.7 of the dude server on Hex rb750 but as you said i'm an idiot!!!
I wonder if any admins are ok with someone calling idiot anyone who wants some help!!!!!
There other ways to point out that a version number is needed for better understanding, but this attitude shows the culture of a person!!!!!!

I am not exactly sure what you are asking for ...

to be able to use dude server to upgrade mt devices in your network you need to put the correct .npk files in the /files directory on your dude server.
my RB750Gr3 has a microsd in it and it is mounted at /dude, in my case the .npk files are in /dude/files/*.npk
put all the .npk you need (for all architectures you have) in that directory and you can upgrade devices ...

you also need to connect them as "routeros" devices with a username and password.

DUDE 6.45.7 cannot connect to 6.46 RouterOS, or the RouterOS with the new login.
Upgrade to DUDE 6.46.8 , it works fine . (I had 3 installations upgraded from 6.44.5 to 6.46.8 (LT), 2 weeks ago, no problems)

From the changelog ...
What's new in 6.46.7 (2020-Sep-07 07:38):

Important note!!!

- The Dude server must be updated to monitor v6.46.4+ and v6.47beta30+ RouterOS type devices.

Thanks for your reply i already have done that and it is working fine.
When you hit right click on a router and hit settings, down at the right side of the window it says:
Status:up
RouterOS Status: Connecting

I have given the right credentials but i keep getting connecting in 3-4 devices, all others are in OK status.

ok, this looks like a totally different issue.
you experience problems with connecting ROS devices in dude.
I had the same problem and until now it was always a problem with the credentials ...

The credentials are ok they are working in all other devices. I only have 4-5 of them that it cannot connect. That's the strange!!!

Thank you for the reply. If you mean in users - if it has full rights the answer is yes.

Thank you for your answer, it makes sense what you say but if this is the case why all other devices are connected just fine with 6.47.8 latest version??????

.
No idea. In my cases it was consistent with the release notes. (6.44.5 versus 6.46.8)
