Upgrade to V034 since 13 days : No CA since the upgrade (RBLHGGR)
Reboot, upgrade to lastest ROS 7.4.1: no CA. No problem with CA with the previous version, of course.
Hello,
I have a strange issue with my SXT-LTE6 which I think could be coming from this V034 firmware.
On my site I've been enjoying 40-80 Mbps download speed for almost 2 years but suddenly my download speeds have been dropping a lot to 10-15 Mbps only. All I can see from the SXT interface is that the CA seems to be very unstable, and the SINR are much lower than before. I tried to upgrade to RouterOS 7.8 which did not change anything and now I am back to 6.48.6.
There was no change in my environment so initially I thought it was my 4G carrier. The 3 main carriers in France have presence on my tower so I tried all of the three but unfortunately the result is more or less the same (small variations coming I believe from the slight differences in the directions their respective antennas are beaming towards my site).
I am now suspecting the LTE firmware but could not find a way to download older releases. Could someone help me on this ?
Thank you.
i just was going to tell you to not upgrade the firmware
we bought 6 SXTR&EP06-A
https://www.quectel.com/product/lte-a-ep06-series ( for north America version )
and i did not follow the ancient proverb. " if isn't broke don't fix it"
so i upgraded the radio firmware on one of them , and i took some time
cause it was like 3 versions behind, and it make incremental updates only
so you need to wait for the flash that is slow and then reboot and then check again
and do the rest of the updates
long story short
the one with the "latest and greatest" firmware is half more than half slower than the ones with stock radios
i am glad that i just did that on one radio instead on all of them.
why ? IDK.... it suppose to be better not worst to have the latest LTE RADIO firmware
i am on 7.8 on all of them
and stock LTE radio firmware on all expect the one that is crawling
i think the only way to downgrade is to get a USB miniPCI reader
pull the original factory firmware from the "good" non updates radios
and flash that on to the "crawler" radio.
thing is that i do not have the quectel software to do it
i doubt MT will provide the flash tools to roll back the LTE radio firmware cause is made by quectel.
