Hi,
I have the following setup (in short):
- Router: RB4011iGS+
- VLAN enabled Managed Switch from Netgear
- WiFI AP from LinkSys
Internal network logical view:
- Wifi has an SSID which encapsulates all traffic with VLANID 50
- The Switch lets the VLANID traffic pass from Access Point to Mikrotik
- On the router I have a VLAN interface defiened for the VLANID 50 with a dedicated local IP
External network:
- I have a VPN connection via (L2TP without IPSec or a PPTP without IPSec or an IPSec tunnel) - Same provider multiple configuration options (not all 3 in parallel)
- In the router I have all the traffic that comes from the VLAN based network to be masquerade and pushed through the VPN
-- Either as Mark-route firewall for L2TP and PPTP
-- Or as IPSec route network for IPSec Tunnel
Issue:
- If I connect to the SSID that routes the traffic via the construct above, I have good ping < 25 ms, good download > 100 Mbps but almost no Upload < 0.01Mbps (0,01% of my bandwith)
- If I use the VPN from a mobile device or Workstations I have the expected upload speed
- If I don't use the SSID VLAN based I have the expected upload speed
Any hints where I could dig dipper ?
Thank you in advance for any thoughts :)
