LHGG Lte 6

Tue Aug 10, 2021 6:39 pm

Hey! So in my country, we mainly use B1,B3,B7,B20. I really need to aggregate B1+B3 but Ive noticed that you cant do that. Are there any ways to get the ability to aggregate B1+B3 or it really is like that? Thats a real bummer. Ive also heard about the minipcie cards, wouldnt know if those work?

+1 Also not working for me. And when locking B3 I expected that CA would be B1, but nothing...

Also cell locking breaks a couple of hours later... I know there is a v28 modem firmware, but it's beta and I don't want to cross that path.

Personally I am not happy with the stability and the capabilities of what I just acquired (LHGGR LTE6).

I'll past some logs tomorrow.

Thanks,
anthonws.

I've posted about a somewhat related issue viewtopic.php?f=2&t=177480&p=872068#p872068.
I get carrier aggregation (Primary: B1, CA: B20, optimally) just fine. But every once in a while it swaps them around for 5 minutes or so which absolutely tanks performance. If I use cell lock to lock the Primary Band to the right EARFCN I lose Carrier Aggregation. The Primary Band stays B1 on the specified tower and B20 never gets picked up as the CA Band...

Maybe cell lock only supports intra-band CA? The examples on the wiki are B3@5Mhz + B3@20Mhz, with the Primary channel locked.

Thanks for the feedback!
Granted that I don't have the LHGGR in an optimal position and I don't have a lot of options on antennas (or bands), but I was expecting it to be much better than it is...
I think the biggest gripe right now is lack of documentation on what is or not supported for the modem to do in terms of CA. And what should happen in several of the scenarios you (and others) described.

Cheers,
anthonws.
