Mesh network setup

The target is trying to extend the WiFi range.
I have several Metal 2SHPn (https://mikrotik.com/product/RBMetal2SHPn), it's 2.4GHz only model. I set them up as Mesh point, the throughput is low.
I suppose that's because 2.4GHz band works as Mesh and AP simultaneously.
Also tried Repeater mode for Metal 2SHPn, the result also not good.
GrooveA 52 ac has dual bands, can I configure it as Mesh point like this, 2.4GHz for Mesh, 5.0GHz for AP?
Can I configure it as repeater like this 2.4GHz for Client and 5.0GHz for AP? Thanks!
