Cool. But do you have any information about support of Wi-Fi 5 wave 2 on cap (xl) ac? Wi-Fi 6 is not such important for home users, but wave 2 should be already implemented. I'm doing decision - wait for mikrotik to be able to use capsman or convert network to another vendor.
Thanks

@Mikrotik: Please create a M11G with m.2 slot for LTE/5G modules ! We wait for new line of 5G devices like SXTGR 5G, LHGGR 5G, LDFGR 5G - 1 or 2.5Gb port and m.2 slot with 4x4 MIMO - we wait.

Does the CCR2004-16G-2S+ support L3HW offloading (per switch)?

How do you exactly cover a building for inventory tracking ?
Do you deploy several Knot devices or do reuse some existing radio infra (WiFi AP with BLE capability) ?
What is the "radio range" of a TG-BT5-IN in a casual situation, with concrete walls, glass doors, ... ?

Hi, I am looking for IoT products LoRa sensor devices in the 867 to 868Mhz. I see the TG-BT5-IN and TG-BT5-OUT listed on your IoT products website but guess these are not 867 to 868Mhz. Do you have any such 867 to 868Mhz loT sensor devices, or are they in the pipe line planning (future)?

If my Mikrotik device is infected with Mēris botnet, how can I disinfect it? And more broad question, how to disinfect a Mikrotik device if it has been infected with any malware?

Three steps:
  1. create textual export of current configuration. Execute command /export file=myexport and fetch file off device.
Note that this is not backup, which creates binary (and encrypted) file of which contents can not be easily examined.
Make a note about users and their passwords, export does not save them into exported file. Neither are certificates. Both should be deemed compromised if device was hacked so no real damage done because they are not exported.
  2. netinstall device, configure it to default config
  3. adjust (not replace!) configuration as needed. Use exported configuration (in step #1) as a reminder what was done, but possibly avoid copy-paste operations ... it's better to study and understand default config and adjust it in same spirit.

Change all the user name and passwords dont use anything from the previous config in that regard............also change winbox port from standard as well.

The problem with the "cAP XL ac" is its 128 MB of RAM ond 16 MB of ROM. If you look at the wiki MikroTik says
" Requirements
The wifiwave2 package is compatible with IPQ4019 and QCA9984 wireless interfaces and is only available for ARM builds of RouterOS v7. It also requires 14MB of free space and at least 256MB of RAM."

This means that this brand new device will never get the new wave 2 driver package, again.

I hope it will eventually get the wave2 driver package - that package is a huge improvement over the older wireless in terms of performance.

They might be able to find ways of limiting the memory and storage requirements for wave2 over time.

It's horrible to release a new product that only will support "old" software.

It's not horrible. Please NOT realase new software!
The old software at least works.
Everything is OK.

Devices with Wi-Fi chips usually require a few years of repairs and pioneers that will pass on all the errors to their customers.
In any case, with MT it will be a very long story and a road with pits, received bruises. Do you need it? Nothing to do?

No for Not, means MikroTik you have right. We want many package like "wireless-cm2", "wireless-rep" and "wireless" and now with wave2 and new one with k/v/r and with ax and all of that package should be as beta and stable, because we like be test-rabbit!
Wifi at MikroTik have own long story of testing.. without that we not receive anything new. We must live with that !

Basic wireless physics, MT is able to handle. According to the market segment / position with MT, everything is fine. But as soon as you ask for more, you will get in a lot of trouble.
In the WISP market, prices are directly related to solutions (they are not inflated). You pay for what you get. All you have to do is choose.
For example, I don't take part in testing, I use long term versions and if that's not enough for me, I turn to another manufacturer, but I don't blame the existing one.
As far as Windows 95 is concerned, this analogy does not apply here, but if it can provide me with a solution that meets my requirements, it would be enough for me.
I hope I managed to answer your question.

According to your statement "do not release new software". It is like microsoft would have stopped releasing new OS. We all would never see Windows ME, Vista, 8 and so on. Good ol 95 still rocking my Pentium. Because it "worked".
