hex S poe-out issue

Wed Sep 29, 2021 10:09 pm

Hi, I have a hex S which supports poe-out on port 5. Unfortunately it stopped working for some reason. I can't turn on POE auto-on due to the following error message: This model does not support poe-out auto-on mode (6). When I change to forced-on it still does not want to work, meaning the ether 5 led does not turn red and no other mikrotik device can be powered on.

Do you know if this can be easily fixed by replacing a capacitor or chip on the board, or is there any other way fixing it? The device is already out of warranty, I haven't opened it yet to check capacitors, because it is still in use. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Are you running latest long-term or stable ROS version? Could be there's some bug-fix or improvement regarding PoE out ...

Is this anyhow related with software update or there are an obvious visual damages on the PCB?
