Hello, I have a rb912 access point with 5 clients on it. one of those customers called to tell us the service was nonexistent. so we started some pings from the access point and we were consistently getting 50%+ packet loss.
We also tested the other 4 clients, which were capable of pulling their packages, and no packets lost. So our first conclusion was something was wrong with their antenna (disc-ac) so we sent a tech out to replace it and the problem persisted.
I was on my way to try replacing the access point when i decided to mess around with the config. i found when i set forwarding=yes there was no packets lost. we had just recently changed everybody in the access list to no forwarding.
Can anybody explain to me why this would be? at least one of the other clients also had a disc. so it couldn't be a hardware issue.
access point is 6.47.10 long term (but we were having the same issue on an earlier version, i think 6.45.eight )
edit: my eight turned into an emoji that's why i spelt it out
