CCR2004 throughput

Mon Oct 18, 2021 9:34 pm

Hello
wonder if this is what expected throughput of a CCR2004-16G-2S+ with nat/masquerade and 10 filter rules enabled?
UDM PRO seems to be faster then with all the bloat, think they both use the same CPU.

Do you have fasttrack enabled?

Yes The only ip filter rule enabled on my last test

However don't know why fasttrack counter is showing only 445.2MiB?

Also this is traffic flowing between SFP+ ports(LAN -> WAN) so the traffic needs to pass the CPU since SFP+ ports are connected individually to the CPU.

I am speculating I am hitting single core performance of the CPU but I can not prove it. If I run iperf3 with -P 6 I am able to reach close to 9 Gbits/sec

UPDATE:
For anyone else wondering the same thing in the future.
Got a response from Mikrotik and it was as I thought, the limit is the single core performance of one stream.
