LHG 5 ac used in Point-to-Multipoint scenarios?

Thu Oct 21, 2021 11:24 pm

Hi to all, new to the Mikrotik world, so my question is if it is possible to use the LHG 5 ac model in both Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint environments?

Kind regards,

Javier

Main Problem is the RouterOS License:
The LHG 5 ac comes with a RouterOS license 3.
This allows Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint as a "Slave"

Point-to-Multipoint requires the "Master" to have a RouterOS license 4.

Solution : Mikrotik offers L4-Licenses for Money =)

I wouldn't recommend LHG 5 ac as an access-point for multiple station devices at a distance, due to the short angle beam width it has.
