Dear Mikrotik support,

First, many thanks to your team for the hard work.
I support European products and I am very happy with your products.

I would like to report the issue of fan speed on Mikrotik switches.

CRS312-4C+8XG is installed with RouterOS 7.1 rc5 and sitting in my living room.
The switch is using HW L2 switching and is near 2% CPU activity.

Nevertheless, the fans are from time to time (once every 4 minutes) running at 4000 RPM speed during one minute.
This makes a lot of noise and is quite unacceptable in a living room.

On my Synology NAS, there is a cooling mode setting, which offers three possibilities : "quiet' (low noise), "normal" and "cool" mode (more noise).
Would it be possible to have the same settings? My Synology fans are constantly spinning with no noise.
Professional users would choose "cooling" mode and home users "quiet" mode.
Everybody would be satisfied.

Otherwise, please advise how to change the fans for lower noise.
