Hi all,
very soon im going to dive into reconstruction of the current network, trying to achieve redundancy.
So, as shown in diagram, core switches are going to be pair of CRS3x and WAN connection will be provided by pair of CCRs configured with VRRP protocol.
Access layer of switches will be CRS2x series connected to each CRS3x switch.
My idea was : -configure on CRS3x switches tagged/trunk ports with appropriate VLAN table( https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:C ... Based_VLAN) on interfaces
connected to CCR1016 devices an also connected to CRS2x switches. Rest of ports will be untagged/access ports for servers load.
-configure on CRS2x switches tagged/trunk port with appropriate VLAN table (https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:C ... based_VLAN) on interfaces
connected to CRS3x switches. Rest of ports will be untagged/access ports for computers, printers etc...
- rely on RSTP to do the loop prevention.
My question is: - do i need to interconnect CRS3x switches?
- if want bonding then links between devices needs to doubled? For example, to bond CRS3x to CCR1016 eth1-2 bond from CRS connect to bond eth1-2 on CCR and bond eth3-4
from CRS connect to bond eth3-4 on CCR on both devices and also on ports from CRS2x to CRS3x?
- any suggestion?
