Which female RJ45 to buy for RB450G?

Tue Nov 16, 2021 4:55 pm

Hi,
My old faithful RB450G is still working, but 2 of its female RJ45 connectors have problem. They will not hold the cable when inserted which make the connection very unstable. I tried to replace them with similar parts but none of them worked so far. They all have different pin out. Is there anyone know the correct part number of it? Thanks.

Are you really wasting your time buying/unsoldering/soldering those connectors?

This device has made history! Please put it in a wall as a valuable thing and buy a new one!

I have all the tools. Desoldering will only take less a minute.

In fact, this RB450G failed in just few years after purchase due to the faulty capacitors. Seriously, I'd prefer repairing it.

For those who are also looking for female RJ45 on RB450G, the 48F-01GY2DPl2NL will do the job. However, only one LED will lit. You need to manually flip the polarity of the other LED. Disassemble the metal casting from connector, and push the LED out. Reverse it and push it back. You're done.
