Just a minor note, the link doesn't work using inline view of the pdf. FastNetMon looks promising tho!

Cant wait to see if RC02 fares any better.

Opened link in a new window, tried multiple times and got the pdf eventually. CCR2116 seems nice (I think Eva had a slip as she mentioned a "younger brother" - she probably meant "older brother"). might even order it.. but... 2k21 is coming to an end and no reasonably priced 2.5G and/or 5G solutions from mikrotik on the horizon.

Yes it should be Older Brother or Smaller brother as to me in Latvian English they were thinking "little brother". Which just goes to show they need to not only hire BPWL for improved WIFI but me for at least reviewing all their document outputs (and video productions). :-)

On a serious NOTE: Normis, how will you be able to match our donations (know that its an MT forum person) if its done through the GoGetFunding Page??

I like the netFiber 9, will there be a desktop version of it as well? There is currently no comparable desktop or rack mount switch available.
CRS212-1G-10S-1S+IN have just one SFP+ and CRS328-4C-20S-4S+RM is far more expensive.
If indoor version of netFiber 9 without all the outdoor mounting ended up at $200 it would be a great optical switch for the price!

The netfiber 9, is an indoor switch well suited for the indoor heavy coffee drinking and boozing crowd, coffee resistant etc.........

You don't have to use Adobe's shit reader, there are plenty of PDF readers without such a massive attack surface and it's built in to a lot of modern browsers. And as others have said, please make all links https:// - I couldn't even click it in my email.

Also is the 4x10G SFP+ on the CCR2116 really limited to 10gbps throughput to CPU?!

Perhaps the design of the block diagram could be updated to reflect that.

Also now that we have this awesome netFiber box, what about releasing some 60GHz links with SFP slots? This is long overdue!

CCR2116 is based on the CPU from the same family, so will likely be suffering from the same problems until they are fixed for CCR2004 also.

Too bad they wasted front space and switch chips for 12 RJ45 ports. If I needed RJ45, I'd put RJ45-SFP modules in.

People seems obsessed with physical throughput. Most people run firewall, nat, tunnels and different things in the same box, then the physical bottlenecks most lilkey becomes a parentheses in the overall solution.

In the video there is a non-full-width CCR2004. Are there any specs or for this yet?

Could you inform us about fan speed. I might be interested to buy one ASAP if there is no fan speed in a home environment with little traffic.

That's exactly the point, thank you. This is where the CPU comes in and ports don't matter so much

Any idea when the passive cooling version of CCR2004 will be available on the market? It has been a while since the video. I am quite interested in this PC version CCR2004. Bought the CCR2004-16G-2S+ before, it is a bit loud when it starts.
