Dear all,

as a mikrotik newbie I seem to have a real beginners problem but i cannot find my mistake. I watched tutorials and searched the obvious places and am now hoping that you can help me.

I own an RB4011+. As adviced in most tutorials I have connected via MAC and removed the standard configuration and updated Firmware (7.1).
First step in the tutorials is configuring a bridge for most of the ports and giving the router an ip adress on that bridge (I tried mostly 192.168.0.1 but also others).
After that ping should be possible, but is not for me.
I also tried to configure DHCP Server and the router is giving my laptop an IP adress from the specified Pool. So there is a connection and also communication between laptop and router. But still no ping possible and such no connection via IP adress.

Please help me as i am not able to find the mistake. If i have to give further information please tell me.

What are you trying to PING, the ROUTER ?
or something in the Internet ?


Did you think of NAT ?
If not try this :

/ip firewall nat
add action=masquerade chain=srcnat
