Missing packages after upgrade to 7.1 from testing

Sat Dec 11, 2021 5:46 pm

Hello, i today updated my hAP ac2 to routeros 7.1. I went to packages, changed channel to testing. Than I installed updates, and router board firmware. So now I have router OS 7.1 and firmware 7.1.

[admin@MikroTik] > /system/package/print
Columns: NAME, VERSION
# NAME VERSION
0 routeros 7.1
[admin@MikroTik] > /system/routerboard/print
routerboard: yes
board-name: hAP ac^2
model: RBD52G-5HacD2HnD
serial-number: ****************
firmware-type: ipq4000L
factory-firmware: 6.44
current-firmware: 7.1
upgrade-firmware: 7.1

When i wanted to install new zero tier package, i found out that in packages i don't see any package except routeros 7.1. Even when i go to System > Auto Upgrade and I click Download All, it only show error message "Couldn't perform action - don't know which is system package (6)". So how can i install zero tier or another packages in Router OS 7.1 ? Did i something wrong or this is some bug ? Thank you.

Update procedure inside ROS in principle only works for already installed packages. It never showed list of available packages to choose which one to install, one allways had to manually download extra packages and push the wanted one to router.

Now why it barfs at "download all" ... could be because 7.1 is new and might have some bug in package upgrade procedure. And there's no other version available in v7 to upgrade to so empty answer might trigger some other bug as well ...

Thanks for replay. So all packages like wireless, ipv6, security, ppp, ntp and other are part of router os 7 package? Because before i had multiple of this packages installed and now i see only router os7 package. But ipv6, ntp, wireless works just fine even i don’t have packages installed anymore.

Zerotier only works on rc3 for now.
It's not included in later versions.

So all packages like wireless, ipv6, security, ppp, ntp and other are part of router os 7 package?

All functionality except for a very few exceptions (such as zerotier and docker) is now part of integral routeros "package".

You mean container, that only works on rc3. Zerotier is working in 7.1.
