wsAP ac

Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:44 pm

Hi folks from Mikrotik.
I love your product, I really do but I NEED for 2022 "new" wsAP ac units.

Many many many customers have already connections with more than 1Gbps of capacity and I really need wsAP ac units to copable of these speeds.

100Mbps is really weak. Pls pls pls,can you update this device ?

Why not use a cAP XL ac

From my bench testing of these, its about 3 dB higher RX( based on noise level testing against a cAP ac) , and they have also bumped the TX power by +3dB too.
Should be no problem for +100Mbps throughput @ 5GHz at reasonable line of sight distances.

yeah, you have right but wsap ac have better placed ethernet ports and for customer which wanna use them is this much better choice

This is really what I do when speed is priority. But is unpleasant compromise for customer. WSAP AC with next-gen internals would be much much nicer.

Then why not a wAP ac
https://mikrotik.com/product/wap_ac
That's got 2x 1gbit interfaces and later gen ipq-4018 cpu and wifi-5 ac1200.

And its ceiling or wall mountable

Both the devices you suggested do not have RJ11 passthrough that wsAP has and many might need but also very important wsAP has a more slim design and its better placed on a wall socket and also looks better...
