Scheduler Wi-Fi Off/On at Night

Fri Dec 17, 2021 11:48 am

Hi,

I have cAP ac and would like it automatically to have either the Wi-Fi part or itself turning off at night 23:00-07:00 every day.

I am running new version of Router OS 7.1 on the device.

But looking around I have not found any scheduler to achieve this.

Anyone any idea how it can be done?

You don't have System->Scheduler? If you're looking for commands to put in there, this should work:
/interface/wireless/enable [find]
/interface/wireless/disable [find]

turning off at night 23:00-07:00 every day.
This worked 10 years ago to keep children from using internet.
Now day everyone has Mobil Internet, or they connect to friends phone or neighbors wifi :)

Does this look right?
/system scheduler
add disabled=no interval=9h name="wi-fi off 2200 for 9h" on-event="/interface/wireless/disable [find]" start-date=dec/17/2021 start-time=22:00:00

I would not use interval 9 hours, but use 2 scripts with 24h interval.

If you only want to lock devices out you have 2 more options:
- wireless access list with time parameter
- IP kids control
