Allow lan discovery

Thu Dec 23, 2021 2:58 pm

We have RB951Ui-2HnD routerboard at work. It's an office with multiple Windows PCs, 4 network-connected printers, and multiple Android and iOS phones.

Before installing the routerboard, we were able to print directly from any phone using the printer app. But now the app can't discover any printer, even after entering its IP manually. Also no devices other than the routerboard and my phone appear when I scan for network devices with WiFiman app on my phone. It's only the Windows PCs that can see each others and the connected printers.

We are primarily using the routerboard to limit the bandwidth for every connected PC/phone as well as hiding internet access behind a username/password wall per individual.

What can I do to solve the discovery problem without affecting the primary use of the routerboard?
If any logs or configurations are needed, please tell me.

Sorry for my bad English.

Ok, here are the configs.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Not sure about the printer issue but why do you have this????
add address=192.168.9.1/24 interface=wlan1 network=192.168.9.0

If your intention was to have a separate subnet for WLAN
where is IP pool, dhcp-server, and dhcp-server network??

There are no firewall rules to speak of??

Unfortunately, I barely know anything about networking. And the person who configured the device left, so I'm sorry that I can't answer these questions.

I tried reading the wiki but a lot of the information there require knowledge that I don't have yet.

Wow you really are screwed.............
Suggest you use a consultant to teach you what the config is currently saying and why its setup as it is,,,,,,,,,,,, backward engineering.
This is not a simple toy to mess about with...........
