mAP lite, boot with RJ45 enabled.

Thu Dec 30, 2021 6:49 pm

When looking at the wiki for the mAP Lite, nothing on how to boot with a enabled RJ45 or capaman.
https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/UM/mAP+lite

Then i used some hour to find a solution to get access by the RJ45 cable, but nothing.
Until i googled it, then this nice information from 2017 came up, and it work:

Maybe MT can use some time to fix the documentation.

While experienced users will be puzzled by the simplicity of setting to caps mode for capsman adoption, or bridging to enable the Ethernet port, a new user to routeros finds usage to be a very steep learning curve.

What I mean is, while we may not see value in what is being requested by @homerouter, the fact a newbie just struggled is reasonable grounds to suspect the documentation needs a little work and should not simply be dismissed. Perhaps a quick start guide for new users would help? Place a few hyperlinks to those areas.
