How to route ipv6 internet traffic through a different router

Thu Jan 06, 2022 3:39 am

In my network, I have an EdgeRouter (Router1) connected to the internet on eth1. I have a Mikrotik switch running RouterOS connected to the EdgeRouter. The switch is also connected to a 2nd router (Router2) which is wirelessly bridged. The Mikrotik switch is running a DHCP-V6 (pd) server.

I'm trying to deploy IPv6. I am using OSPFv3 and have all 3 devices being detected as neighbors. Both routers can communicate with each other (via ping). Router1 can ping6 google.com just fine, however the Mikrotik switch and Router2 cannot.

When I look at my OSPF routes, it shows ::/0 as a destination address, but there is no gateway nor interface set for it; I'm not sure if this is the problem or not, but I'm a little lost on where to take it from here.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
