Confusion on Queue directions: RX/TX in CLI vs. Download/Upload in Winbox

Thu Jan 27, 2022 6:26 pm

I have a simple CAKE queue running in the WAN facing bridge interface. It works great, TX bufferbloat goes down from >50ms to ca. 5ms.
So funtion-wise nothin to complain.
What confuses me is RX/TX in CLI properties
[admin@RB5009] > /queue/simple print
name="queue1" target=bridge1_vlan2 parent=none packet-marks="" priority=8/8 queue=cake-WAN-rx/cake-WAN-tx limit-at=0/0
max-limit=550M/120M burst-limit=0/0 burst-threshold=0/0 burst-time=0s/0s bucket-size=0.1/0.1
According to docs max-limit is RX/TX. This is also what is in effect: WAN DL is limited to 550M, WAN TX to 120M
But in Winbox, RX is mapped to queue Upload, TX to queue download, for limits and also for real time traffic stats:

As described, everythig works fine, it's just confusing and took some time in the bgeinning to figure it out.
Can this be adjusted? Or am I just missinterpreting RX/TX vs. DL/UL? Or is this a bug?
