We are building a battery backup solution for the wAP LTE. On the specification page it states max power consumption as 8W, however at 12V we are seeing peaks of 2A (i.e. 24W) when transmitting on LTE with poor signal. Is this to be expected? I assumed the max power rating, would be the peak power, but that appears to be much higher.

I just wanted to check to see if this is abnormal operation or is within specification. Thanks.
