LHG XL 52AC Disappointing Performance

Sun Feb 27, 2022 5:33 pm

Hi,

We installed P2P with 2 LHG XL 52 AC but their performance is disappointing even with -55/-55 signal strength we are not even able to get 100 Mbps/ 100 Mbps and Mikrotik claims it supports up to 600 Mbps at a distance of 40 Kms plus and our distance is just 8 Kms with clear line of sight.

Mikrotik please respond why your LHG XL 52 AC is not able to give at least 300 Mbps if you claim 600 Mbps with 40 Kms range.

Nowhere they say you will achieve actual "600 Mbps with 40 Kms range" it just says you will be able to establish connection up to 40km, i dont think such product even exist in this world, also dont mix connection rates and actual speed achievable.

From config all i can tell you this to try:
Dont use nstreme or nv2 on newer products, set it to 802.11 which gets me always much better perfomance.
Also set it AC only mode if you dont need N for some reason, and make sure that frequencies that you selected is actually clear, try other one to see if it works better due some reason like noise, and turn on Adaptivne noise immunity both sides under Advanced tab(Ap and Client)

With this device and such settings i get around 250mbit UDP and 150mbit TCP on 2.2km distance with lots of neighbour networks noise(ap scan shows 100+ APs)
