Good day everyone!
A small/medium sized business client was experiencing VoIP issues. We were told that it was caused by the installed device not being able to handle all the devices connected to it. So we installed a MikroTik hAp 951Ui-2nD running on firmware 6.46.4.
VoIP is running perfectly, so is the network in terms of speed and connectivity between ethernet and Wi-Fi clients (laptops mostly via ethernet. Most Wi-Fi connections only mobile phones) on the network. The issue comes in with the printers. Both d-Copia 5514MF printers started having random delays. By random I mean, it works perfectly, till suddenly after pressing print, printer will not receive any data (Transmission light does not come on) and will not do anything for between 1-15 mins.
We've disabled sleep on printers. Tried different drivers, tried 5e and other PCL, put the printers outside of DHCP range static, put them in DHCP range and made them static via MikroTik, checked if files being printed aren't oversized when spooled (rare to get a print bigger than a few mb's). Original MiktroTik was a Hex (Don't have model on hand) but switched it for the hAp hoping for the Hex to be faulty. Tried a few more things but I've started losing track of everything we've attempted.
Pinging printers will result in <1 ms response even when printing stops.
Both printers on latest firmware.
Printers within the same subnet as devices.
Epson printer on same network not displaying any similar issues.
Printers connected via ethernet. Wi-Fi disabled.
Multiple managed switches throughout building to spread network.
No other devices other than MikroTik assigning DHCP.
Running out of ideas here. If anyone has some input into this, I'd greatly appreciate it. Feel free to ask any questions or info from MikroTik.
