lte interface disappears beyond 6.42.10

Mon Mar 28, 2022 11:19 pm

I have a ltAP Mini RB921R-2nD-LTm. If I upgrade the firmware beyond 6.42.10 the lte interface disappears and is no longer addressable.
I have tried this up and down the versions available. The firmware-upgrade command for OTAP upgrading the lte firmware was not introduced till 6.44 so I cannot attempt to upgrade the lte individually.
Can anyone help me to get the lte interface back up at a higher firmware version?

Hi,

Which r11e-lte is inside your Ltap mini?

By firmware do you mean routerboard firmware or routers?

Software version is different from firmware. It's best to be specific.
Mobile network cards have firmware, routers/AP/switches etc. have software and MikroTik calls the bootloader of the device a RouterBOARD firmware.
You need to provide:
1) Your device's ROS version (and RouterBOARD firmware version, usually forgotten to be upgraded by some)
2) Your mobile network card model (e.g R11e-LTE6) and last known firmware it was running

In some cases, you can try resetting the USB port for the card but I'm guessing this as not all cards present a USB interface.

On MikroTik point of view:

BIOS / BootLoader / Firmware = RouterBOOT

Software / OS = RouterOS

BIOS (yes...) + Software inside the modem = Revision

Example:
Model (RouterBOARD) = SXTR
Factory Firmware = 6.47.10
Current Firmware = 6.48.6
RouterOS = 6.46.8
Model (R11e-xxx) = R11e-4G or R11e-LTE or R11e-LTE6 or R11e-LTE6A or R11e-LTE-US
Revision = R11e-4G_V007 or MikroTik_CP_2.160.000_v020 or R11e-LTE6_V033 or R11e-LTE6A_V002 or R11eL_v16.02.183961

BIOS / BootLoader / Firmware = RouterBOOT

Ah thanks, I got misled from https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:U ... re_Upgrade:
Next step after the RouterOS upgrade is firmware (bootloader) upgrade.
I knew they have that name for the bootloader but I always referred to it as firmware because of that step.
