Feature Request: VRF bindings

Thu Mar 31, 2022 11:09 pm

As missing in v.7.1.5 we do still need these binding on VRF:

* IP SERVICE FTP;
* SNMP SERVER;
* NTP CLIENT;
* NTP SERVER;
* EMAIL CLIENT;
* BTEST SERVER;
* BANDWIDTH TEST CLIENT;
* SMB SERVER;
* DNS;
* PING (just GUI option is missing);

Could you please add those features?

Bump.

I see we have the following per:
https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ ... l+Overview
telnet, ssh, api, www services can be set to listen on specific VRF
But we still need management VRF support for polling SNMP when the management IP is in a VRF and we want to query it for SNMP response.

I would consider all the above necessary along with:

* DHCP-Relay
* Radius Client
* TFTP Client

Essentially service or feature that ROS could source from or serve should be VRF aware including system updates. All of this has been possible in the Cisco world for a very long time and is missed

This thread needs more attention. Not being able to assign the dns resolver to a vrf is hurting, especially.

Solution, change your logic:
> implement the MGMT on the default vrf, everything else move to vrf.
