numbers look good, but speed is max 50mbps while with the previous modem used until yesterday (ZTE cat12 outdoor 5G modem used for LTE only) I had no problem reaching 200mbps.registration-status: registered

I've tried that same modem (the R11...) with mikrotik's lte antenna (mAnt lte 5o) with same results — 50-60mbps max. Back then I thought it was limited by my plan, but now my plan cap is much higher. Unfortunately the antenna is 1200km away so can't use it atm.
The cell tower is less than 100m away. direct visibility (modem mounted on the roof).
If I bother to get proper lte antenna, should I expect the speed to improve? This modem has been bit of disappointment.
