CPU Temp - CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ

Sun Apr 10, 2022 12:39 am

I just got a CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ up and running in my lab. I noticed the CPU temperature has been around 58-60 degrees Celsius. Based on the data sheet, it looks like that is on the boarder of upper-end of the operating temperature.

I was curious if anyone else has a CCR2216 or 2116 and is seeing the same cpu temps. Ambient temperature is 20 Celsius.

operating temperature on datasheet refers to ambient temperature suitable for operation

Ah, thank you. So there isn’t any concern that the cpu is around 60 Celsius.

i think for any modern CPU 60 C° its ok

normally in a MikroTik router we dont see CPU deep sleeping on the CPU when not loaded to achieve low temps when the load is low so this temperature is normal even when not heavy loaded

We will see with a heavy workload how much it rise

Looking the images of the thermal solution on ccr2216 i dont expect to have temperature problems

Maybe they use low quality thermal paste ?
