I just purchased a HAP Ac2. My goals are simple: I just want to have control over who can see my network and who can join my network. I also want to put a VPN on my network (both main and guest) and then try to just go from there. I have basically zero background in IT, CS, anything. I work in healthcare.

I purchased a MikroTik HAP Ac2 off of a recommendation from somebody on reddit. I just booted it up, and had some serious issues even getting to the router login webpage. I finally got to it, and then tried to update the router only to be beset by this issue: "ERROR: could not resolve dns name"

Now I have no idea how to advance. I plugged my old router back in and am on my old network because I could not figure out how to get this issue resolved. Can somebody please help? Thank you
