Selected new Mikrotik devices purportedly support hardware accelerated NAT. See link for details.
Has anybody used this hardware NAT feature?
Mikrotik states: "MikroTik's smart connection offload algorithm ensures that the connections with the most traffic are offloaded to the hardware."
Does this work in practice?
How many gigs of traffic can you push via hardware NAT without packet loss or reordering problems? How many connections per seconds can you ramp up?
