Is there a command that will show voltage and current draw of mAP lite device?
I wonder how much it draws, not to overload USB ports, as they usually can reliably provide much less than than 500mA standard describes.
Thanks
Thanks. Do you maybe happen to have real world info on power draw? Website says 700 mA (3.5W) max..Unless I missed it, not that I know.
From experience I know that many devices have problems supplying even 500mA on 5v USB output, especially in long term applications.I can use it without any problems with a micro-USB connection, so should be max 500mA since that's what a standard USB port should provide.
Yes, you are right, I just checkedThe power adapter provided is specified at 1A / 5W max. Might be required sometimes when REALLY taxing the little bugger

Thank you very much! Could you share what was the load / Tx power setting?
I presume this is idling power drain?
Logical.i have seen map-lite gets much warmer when feeded by poe than feeded by usb
This is exactly what I wanted, thank you very much! ! !0.14A - 0.16A measured when connected to laptop
