Configure router interface as a switchport

Sat Apr 30, 2022 9:59 am

Hi everyone and sorry for my english.
I have the ccr1009-7g-1c-1s+.
I Have already configured one port with subinterfaces and each of them belongs to a different vlan (so far so good).

Now I want to configure another port that will work as Switchport and it will be associated with one of the existing subinterfaces Vlan.
For example, if I connect a printer to this port it will be associated with one of the Vlans (of the same Subinterface) and it will get a DHCP address from this VLAN.

Hope I was clear, I'm sure I could have explained it more simply.
Thank you

Hello,

If I got your requirements right - you need to create bridge interface and add one of the subinterfaces (VLAN interface in terms of MT) and physical ethernet port to it.

Please draw a network diagram of the desired network topology and how it should work.
Also can you export the VLAN configuration you already have configured ?

1. Network diagram, and ensure you detail what type of device each port is connecting to [ a dumb device, like a PC or printer, or a smart device (that can read vlan tags), such as a smart switch or smart AP.]

2. Config
/export hide-sensitive file=anynameyouwish
(just ensure no public IPs or public IP gateways are shown)

3. Read this as background...... and on Post #2, look at the Router example config!
