Hello! I have a rb5009 with 7.2.2 running, attached to an ISP router. If I connect to the ISP (Ethernet) I am getting 600Mbs, but if I connect to the rb5009 i get 50-60Mbs up/down (Ethernet). I have a very simple configuration (Happy to share) but I’m wondering if anyone is aware of anything obvious that could be causing this.
I thought perhaps but I tried different cables, and all the ports are having the same problem. I just tried a bandwidth test directly on the router, and it is working at 600 Mbps. I looked over the config again and I can't see what would limit the ports.
OK more information... the interfaces are showing that they auto-negotiated to 100Mbps and not 1000Mbps. In "Advertising" it shows it is allowing all speeds from 10-1000, but in the "Link Partner Advertising" it is missing the 1000Mbps. I would suspect something in the cable line, except this is also happening with a laptop directly connected. I'll check a few more cables...
Thank you for that pointer to the cables. Total storm. Testing cable was "bad", switched it, all worked. Hmm, why didn't the others work? PoE injector is 100Mb (I bought 1Gb, time to complain).
