Multiple ipsec tunnels for active-active/active-standby setup

Sat May 14, 2022 10:08 am

Dear team,
I am very new to RouterOS therefore please apologize if the request is not appropriate.
I would like to setup 2 ipsec tunnels/links (forgive the poor/wrong jargon) from my MT device towards ProtonVPN in order to have a redundant tunnel should one go down.
I followed this guide https://protonvpn.com/support/vpn-mikrotik-router/ and I was able to properly set it up.
As my ProtonVPN subscription allows me to create up to 5 ipsec tunnels I would like to set up the second one and do some active/active (if possible) or at least an active/passive routing setup.

Does anybody know how I could achieve such a configuration?

Thank a lot in advance for the help!

RJ

Did you find a solution? I'm also interested in this setup.

Actually I didn’t but I gave up. I am trying to explore VyOS with some hw I have at home to see if I can get what I need.
