protected-routerboot not enable in 7.2.3

Sat May 21, 2022 11:40 am

Hello,
First , sorry for my poor english...
I`ve a problem.
I`ve 10 RBwAPGR-5HacD2HnD connected to a CCR2004-16G-2S+ in LTE to create a small SSTP VPN network. Until a 6.49.6 , the protected routerboard seems working fine, after upgrade to 7.2.3 (upgraded packages,firmware and modem firmware), although I have performed the procedure correctly (i think), the protected routerboard option disappears from winbox and from the CLI i receive the request to press reset button , but when i press , nothing happens and sometimes , i receive warnings from CPU frequency settings. All the RBwAPGR-5HacD2HnD are new and i reset the configuration more times.
What i can do?
Thank you
Gianpy

To remove that warning, set CPU frequency to AUTO. Or, ignore the warning.
Otherwise I see no problem. It is normal that it now asks to press the RESET button as confirmation for this dangerous action.

Exactly, it was added on ROS v 6.49.1
*) routerboot - enabling "protected-routerboot" feature requires a press of a button;

Maybe it is a bug? I do not use that feature, and I am not willing to experiment with it either.
The best thing is to make a ticket in the support system https://help.mikrotik.com/servicedesk providing exact details and no unrelated fluff.
