Dual Polarised radio connenctions

Fri Jun 03, 2022 7:03 am

Hi guys/girls
Please help with below
I have a setup where we currently use two point to point MIMO dual polarised antenna's attached using RF splitter to one radio - that radio of course does have a Vertical and Horizontal antenna port.
  • Firstly, if i remove one of the point to points antennas and replace it with a omni connected only to the Vertical which would then be recieved by the same configuration at the other end - can you see any issue ?
Its my belief that the data / power to the remaining MIMO would not be hindered in any great way. Although the power and throughput would be reduced greatly on the now only verticaly connected omni.
    is this correct?
The distance of coverage required of the between splitter connected omni's is less than 150m using
Please highlight any issues you can see

Below attached is a image .. laying out my current proposal
