CHR or x86 for a Core Router (35Gbit/s)

Hello.
Should we use CHR or x86 as a core router routing around 35Gbit/s ?
It will have only OSPF and BGP (only receiving default route from BGP)
If CHR please state which virtualization platform do you recommend for the maximum performance.

I would like to say CHR V7 on VMware Esxi with Hyperthreat disabled on bios, but is too much traffic so better go with CCR2216
