user manager and bad blocks

Wed Jun 15, 2022 6:28 am

Hi all,
Can anyone assist me on the below issue?

1. When user manager is running with hotspot users connected, the 'Bad blocks' in the resources windows seems to be increasing. In 2hours time, it increase from 5% to 20%++. It will eventually increase to 99%++ and the router watchdog will force reboot.
2. Most of the time, after reboot, the 'Bad blocks' will return to 1-3% range. But sometimes, it will remain at above 80%
3. Once the user manager start to run with connected hotspot users, the 'Bad Blocks' will steadily increase again till router force reboot.
4. I'm using router rb2011
5. attach are the screen capture

Appreciate the assistance.

Rgds,
Wes

Hi
user manager creates a lot of disc activity.
As I use several RB1100AHx4's with a SSD, the user manager files are located on SSD disk1.
I suppose this "real" M2-SolidStateDrive, with its own controller, is more suited for this kind of use.
I don't know if the onboard NAND (controlled by the µproc.) has the same capabilities.
