numbers are anything without context
maybe some sort of optimization needed between ccr2216 and switch-asic, is a very fresh product and the differences are not to much significant
but i think there is no indication of any situation to worry about
i think in processing intensive tasks like simple queuing we can expect similar performance between 2116 and 2216
in fact i think that buying a 2216 to do simple queues is a big and costly mistake, 2116 will be a wiser choice this numbers are there to give some orientation but need to be fully context aware
2216 has been designed to be a core/border router running all traffic using L3HW at speeds where 2116 interfaces are not enough
off course you can use the 2116 for that kind of work but with more limitations y less performance
any CPU intensive task will be much cost effective with 2116
i have seen many bad purchases with ccr1072 and that for sure will happen with 2216 because people does not take their time understanding product portfolio and they put in hands of busy sellers which will do their job which is selling, but properly deploy and design a network is something beyond buying boxes
