Memory usage differences displayed between WebFig and the App on iOS

Thu Jun 30, 2022 3:16 am

I have a HEX S running 7.3.1, and I've noticed big differences between the memory usage between the WebFig Memory Graph, and the iOS application. Here we see a stable, ~64MiB in daily average stats, and 192.9MiB in iOS. Am I reading this wrong, is it a bug, or does it even matter?

Thanks

256 (total memory) - 192 (free memory) = 64 (memory used)

And obviously the topic title suggest a problem inside the RouterOS or the App [ex title Memory Usage Difference WebFix/iOS],
rather than ask help to understand the difference between the two represented values.

Thank you, that makes sense.

It's clearly working as designed, however 'problem' may be open to interpretation. The iOS field description simply stating, "Memory x MiB / y MiB", is not very descriptive. If it were, I wouldn't have asked.

Thanks again!

Interpretation?

"Memory usage" is... memory usage,
but xxx / 256 is usually used / total....
effectively 192 / 256 is wrong from the appearence... is give the impression that the memory is near depletion...
Probably this aspect is because on winbox system resource are indicated free memory and total memry, never the used memory,
and for use same resource, they are indicated on this way.
