Hi there,
I've currently a routed network using OSPF through each of my nodes, with +/- the following scenario (I've 20 nodes that's why OSPF is here, but for my example I'm just using 3 nodes):
Node 1 <------------------------------------------> Node 2 <------------------------------------------> Node 3
Bridge LAN (ether 2-5): 172.20.1.1/24 Bridge LAN (ether 3-5): 172.20.2.1/24 Bridge LAN (ether 2-5): 172.20.3.1/24
ether 1 (to node 2): 172.21.12.1/29 ether 1 (to node 1): 172.21.12.4/29 ether 1 (to node 2): 172.21.23.4/29
ether 2 (to node 3): 172.21.23.1/29
So, now I want to bridge the VLAN 99, from node 1 to node 3. Considering that in Node 2 the ether 1 and ether 2 are not part of any bridge, and indeed I use their route functions, would somebody suggest me the best way to achieve this?
I guess that because of this setup, thinking in a switch chip hw offloading function for the VLAN is not possible... or yes?
Thanks in advance
