uplink connection from CRS326-24G-2S+IN to CCR2004-16G-2S+PC

Hi all two questions to those who actually have hands-on experience:
A. Does the 10G uplink from the CRS to CCR actually utilize the whole 10G bandwidth? Or there's a % that gets restrained in the process?
B. Due to logistical reasons (fan noise, footprint, etc), all these devices are going to be passive (I could manage with a CCR with fans but not with the switches). Under load, how hot do they get? Does the cpu performance actually get hindered ? The router will have about 20 mangles, 30 filters, 3 vpns, 3vlans for both the router and the switch, and about 20 physical nodes and 40 IPs in total. Nothing special really.

on the switch i don't think you will have limitations

Passive Cooling Version of 2004 16g is supposed to have reduced Clock rate on CPU so that will limit max performance

I think your worst case scenario is obtaining performance Like RB5009 in some configurations

in fact latest test results show better performance of RB5009 in processing bound scenarios

unless you think to use 2004 as a pure router in fast-path mode you can obtain less performance than RB5009

you mention mangle and certain processing so in that scenario RB5009 can be a wiser/cheaper choice, but 2004 gives you 2x 10g, you will have to consider if 2004 justify the cost for you

Yes, I have two switches. One sitting in the livingroom servicing about 8 or so 1Gb devices. One being placed in my office providing service to another 8 devices (2 of which are 10G and so I have to sacrifice one link to go down to 1G). As for the 2004, I have 4 CAP ACs, 8 keystone wall sockets (including the two 10Gs above), and about 6 iot devices coming in straight to the router.
