I'm just curious, how does Mikrotik DHCP Server assigned an IP to a device?
For my use case, I have 30 devices connected, mikrotik assigned 254 - 224 to each 30 devices.
when I remove 1 faulty device, i.e. (ip 230), then a new device is added, it will get 223, the next subsequent number.
when will the IP 230 get used ? until all 224 ip used up or after a certain time?

It depends on several factors. But in general an address won't be offered while there is still an active lease for it.

Why does it matter what order addresses are given out, as long as there are no duplicates? Interesting read, as it seems that some people are really bothered by reverse order. RFC2131-Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol has no requirements as far as order is concerned. Wikipedia has more links Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
